THE SPARK: DRIVEN BY PURPOSE

Wichita Ignite wasn't born in a boardroom; it was forged from a lifetime of consistency, structure, and sacrifice. Growing up in a military household, "good enough" was never an option. My parents instilled in me a relentless work ethic: if you want something, you commit until the job is done. But beyond the discipline, they taught me the true weight of leadership—that it must be rooted in dignity, respect, and a servant’s heart.

At Ignite, we believe the youth of our community is our future, and they deserve our absolute investment. As Director, I lead with honesty and accountability, because a team’s strength lies in its commitment to one another. We aren't just coaching a game; we are investing in the next generation, preparing them for life long after the final whistle.

A DIRECTOR WITH A MISSION

I’m a proud Wichita native and graduate of Wichita West High School. I was adopted at the age of three and raised in a military family. My father, a Master Sergeant in the U.S. Army, taught me early that success is earned through discipline, hard work, and perseverance.

I hold dual master’s degrees in special education, with concentrations in High Incidence and Low Incidence Disabilities, and spent more than 10 years teaching students with emotional and behavioral challenges. That experience shaped my ability to lead with patience, empathy, accountability, and high expectations.

I have coached club volleyball at the 14U and 16U levels and currently serve as the Founder and Director of Wichita Ignite Volleyball Club.

At Wichita Ignite, we believe growth happens when athletes are challenged, supported, and held to a high standard. We value truth over comfort, effort over excuses, and character over shortcuts. Our mission is to develop confident, disciplined, and resilient athletes who are prepared not only to compete at a high level, but to succeed in life.

We may not be backed by big names or big budgets, but we are building something powerful, a culture rooted in integrity, purpose, and a relentless commitment to excellence. Wichita Ignite is for athletes who are ready to work, grow, and help spark a new era of volleyball in Wichita. Honestly, I am tired of seeing the same old standards, Ignite is here to raise the bar and change the scene!
